GLASS FIBER MEDIA ROLLS AND PADS / ROLLOS O PADS DE FIBRA DE VIDRIO
It is commonly known as Fiberglass. It is a filtering medium used in pre-filtration applications for both air injection and extraction.
Due to its high particle retention and resistance, it is used in extraction systems. GLASS FIBER MEDIA ROLLS AND PADS is a filter primarily used in the pre-filtration stage. Due to its versatility, it is used in both cuts or pads as well as rolls or curtains.
With this filter, large areas of industrial buildings can be covered to prevent particle contamination from the outside.
GLASS FIBER MEDIA ROLLS AND PADS is made from fiberglass fibers (Silicon Dioxide SiO2), which are very fine filament fibers. The construction of this media can be either unsupported or with backing support.
Due to its high particle retention and resistance, it is used in extraction systems.
- Available in rolls and pads.

Both for its longevity and quality, Macrofilter® filters are the best option for your business.
Features
The GLASS FIBER MEDIA ROLLS AND PADS Macrofilter® is available in two fiberglass types: "dry" or with "additive." The difference in these options can be observed when using the filter.
The first one is preferably used for retaining particles larger than 100 microns, while the "additive" filter is mostly used for particles smaller than 100 microns.
As an added value, this helps prevent dust trapped within the filtering medium from detaching during filter replacement, thereby avoiding contamination of other areas.
In both cases, the construction of the fiberglass filter media is "PROGRESSIVE," meaning that larger particles are retained in the first layer, and smaller particles in the last layer.
GLASS FIBER MEDIA is easily distinguishable by sight, as one side of the filter has lower density (airflow entry) and the other has higher density (airflow exit).
A variable option is to place them in disposable cardboard frames, making it easier to use and place the fiberglass filtering medium.
Another option uses permanent galvanized frames (see Washable Metal Filters and MACRO FG – 1000 sections), where the filtering medium is placed in the galvanized frame, and only the medium is replaced once it has fulfilled its role of dust and particle retention.
By using these fiberglass pads in galvanized frames instead of disposable panel filters, significant savings in costs, scrap material, and labor can be achieved.
It is also possible to install fiberglass filtering media inside cardboard frames of ¾”, 1”, 2”, and 4” thickness. CHECK THE EQUIVALENCY TABLE BETWEEN FILTRATION STANDARDS HERE.
